Macys: How To Confidently Style 7 Colors in One Outfit from Macys (Under $200)
I am a woman who used to wear dark or neutral colors. Colors like black, gray, brown, or neutrals like beige, tan, off-white. However, I love that I am a woman being transformed back into the image and likeness of God! He is colorful, He is bright, He is exciting! He is never dull! As I said from the beginning in my 'About Me' page (here), God can use style as a mechanism to increase our confidence.
I love that I am stepping out to try more bold and exciting colors in my wardrobe. As a pre-med student, I have evening classes Monday through Thursday all summer long. Naturally, on my birthday July 26, I had class. I was about to head home after class to eat ice cream and go to sleep when I decided why not go shopping on my birthday! The mall was about to close in an hour, so I headed over to Macys with great expectation!
First, I decided to check out the women's clothing! When I found this BarIII two-piece matching set at Macy's, I knew I had to have it! I've been loving two-piece matching outfits lately (see previous blog post here), I can't get enough of them. I keep buying more. Also, I love the flexibility of Macy's sales and star passes - I was able to use a star pass on this purchase because I used my Macys Credit Card to buy.
After I picked this up, I walked around the corner into the handbag section and saw this beautiful Michael Kors Whitney Shoulder Bag on sale (here , here, and here for green) and (here for other colors), and knew I had to have it as well. I was excited that it matched the outfit I previously bought.
To top off the outfit, I knew I had bought a pair of Steve Madden heels from Macys a few weeks prior and that they would be perfect for this outfit! It's fairly simple to put together an outfit if you are a natural stylista! I love that I was able to buy this outfit on my birthday, a day in which I celebrate life and my outfits are now an outward expression of the Life I have on the inside of me. One day, I would love to spend much time styling women and encouraging them that they are beautiful. God has the power to make all things new, so it is my prayer that you would continually to be renewed in Him <3
Tell me, are you a bright dresser or a dark dresser? Links to the outfits are below, happy shopping!
